Unfortunatelly, on April 27 Robert Sheckley has been hospitalized in Kiev’s private clinic Boris with the diagnosis of progressive respiratory insufficiency. He has been on artificial respiration and in drug-induced sleep in an intensive care unit for one month.

On the Web the news has been first reported by Tass, Mosnews, SFWA, Axxon, UkraineNow, Fantascienza.com.

Then he made it back to the US, but 6 months later unfortunatelly he passed away. Details and memorial on Sheckley.com
